Our Trees Need You
There will be an event organised by Friends of the Earth and Havant Borough Tree Wardens on the 2nd June to attract more volunteers to the Tree Warden scheme. Posters and leaflets are being distributed around the borough. Anyone interested in learning about the scheme or would like to become a Tree Warden in the following areas are welcome:
Havant
Bedhampton
Langstone
Leigh Park
Waterlooville

HBTW Meeting 12/11/08
There will be a Havant Borough Tree Warden meeting on 12 November 6-8pm, at HBC Civic Offices.
Topics of the meeting will include:
Steering Group.
Discuss whether HBC will become a partner of the Tree Council.
Jon Stokes to give a training session about growing and planting suitable trees for gardens.

Tree Council Regional Meeting
The regional meeting for tree wardens will take place at Alton Maltings, Alton on Saturday 1st November 2008.

HBTW Steering Group Meeting 21/1/09
The date for the first meeting of the Havant Borough Tree Warden Steering Group has been arranged for Wednesday 21 January, 6pm in the Civic Offices.
Suggested items to be discussed at the first meeting include:
The nature of the group and how often it meets
The nature of the year ahead – training needs, events etc
Projects for 2009
Aims of the group and aims for the network
All other topics can also be added to the agenda as they come up.
